An Environmental Education Center building is the centerpiece of the strategic and master plans for the Mill Cove Environmental Area. The building will include classrooms, a special needs instructional area, laboratory, multi-use pavilion, walkways, and a storage facility.
Supporting improvements include:
- Primitive camping facility
- Recreational vehicle sites
- Upgraded access road
- Electrical service
- Water and septic systems
- Pistol and rifle ranges
- Boat and canoe launches
- Nature trail development
- Wetland habitat exhibits
- Wildlife observation areas
These improvements will enhance Mill Cove’s appeal and usefulness to many groups, offering greater value for school and university educational programs, corporate retreats, national sporting competitions, local police training, and other events.
